Introducing Strength Classes

Reformed was built on Pilates because better movement is the foundation of lifelong health. As the science of healthy aging evolves, we're introducing STRENGTH classes at select studios. STRENGTH complements the mobility, stability, and control you already develop at Reformed. More studios coming over time.

Asked
Questions

Do you have classes for beginners?

Yes! Our method is designed to teach to all levels. Our instructors will cue modifications and progressions for every exercise so that you can tailor the class to your own ability level. No previous experience is required.

Can I use my phone in class?

When class is in session, our studio is a No Phone Zone. To ensure our clients get the most effective and safe workout, it is essential that they can hear instructor cues clearly and are not distracted by phones. We ask that phones be silenced and stored away during class. If you need to take an emergency call, please step outside the studio.

We encourage clients to take photos and videos before and after class (tag us!),but please respect the privacy of the clients around you and do not photographor film them without their consent.

What should I expect in my first class?

Every Reformed class follows the same proven structure. The exercises change daily, but the flow stays consistent so you always know what to expect while continuing to challenge your body in new ways.

What happens if I show up late to class?

We ask that all clients arrive on time. With growing waitlists, clients often show up hoping to get a spot. If you are registered but do not show up on time and someone is waiting, that spot may be given to the waiting client.

For safety, we have a five-minute grace period. If you arrive more than five minutes after the start time, you will not be allowed in. No exceptions. (The five-minute grace period only applies if no one is waiting for the open reformer.)

How often do you recommend I come to class?

Like any workout, consistency is key. For best results, we recommend attending class three times per week. You'll start to feel and see changes in as little as 30 days. Reformed clients may take up to one class per day.

Can I take class while pregnant?

Please let your instructor know if you're pregnant so that proper modifications can be given. Pre/postnatal private sessions may be available at an additional cost.

Out of an abundance of caution, we do not accept new clients who are pregnant beyond their first trimester. New clients in their first trimester will be required to complete a Prenatal PrivateSession ($100) before joining group classes.

What is reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a full-body workout performed on a spring-based machine called a reformer. The springs create adjustable resistance that can make movements harder or easier, so the same class works for a complete beginner and a seasoned athlete at the same time.

At Reformed, every 50-minute class follows the same structure: Core, Upper Body, Lower Body, and a Cool Down. The exercises change daily, but the format stays consistent so you always know what to expect.
